Dinosaur Cake! – My Wife Did an Awesome Job!

My son is in love with Dinosaurs right now and my wife loves to bake.  Bring those two things together and you have Harrison’s very cool 5th birthday cake!  My wife, Stephanie, did an awesome job.  She spent weeks researching dinosaur cakes but couldn’t find one she wanted to make so she came up with this on her own.  She baked 5 or 6 cakes and put them together.  Once they were together she used one of Harrison’s T-Rex toys as a reference point and cut the shape of the cake.  She melted white chocolate and let it harden into the shape of teeth for the dinosaurs mouth.  She had large round white chocolate chips that she painted and used for the dinosaurs eyes and made her own frosting for the rest of the cake.  It took her awhile to get it all decorated but Harrison couldn’t have been happier or more excited for his dinosaur cake.
